I've trained in Tae Kwon-Do under Mr Mowatt since he opened the Bishop's Stortford club in 2006. During that time I've made the journey from complete martials arts novice to achieving my black belt in 2009. I have competed in sparring at all levels, from regional competitions up to the World Championships, and have occasionally competed in patterns. I've also trained in Jikishin Ju-Jitsu for three years, and am currently a green belt.
I've acted as an assistant instructor for the club's juniors since the junior classes began 6 years ago, and qualified as an official TAGB Instructor in 2014. I'm also a qualified Umpire and Referee, and regularly officiate at regional and national TAGB competitions.
I believe that Tae Kwon-Do has something to offer almost everyone, whether you're looking to improve your fitness, learn some self-defence skills, or take part in competitions. As an instructor, my aim is to help each student to reach their individual goals and to help them make the very best of their abilities, while ensuring that every lesson is enjoyable.
